Australia’s cricket captain Pat Cummins will soon appear in an animated series that hopes to introduce children to the excitement and values of cricket. The show is titled Snick and Willow and follows the adventures of two young cricket fans. Together, they travel across the world, learning about friendship, teamwork, and fair play.
A story about cricket, culture, and friendship
Snick and Willow is produced by Xentrix Studios. It tells the story of Snick, a lively Indian boy, and Willow, a fast-bowling Australian girl. They join forces to search for lost cricket treasures in a mission to save their local cricket club from greedy developers.
As they go on this exciting journey, the duo experiences different cultures and learns important life lessons. The show highlights values such as teamwork, inclusivity, and community through their shared love for the game. The creators are still developing Cummins' animated character.

Pat Cummins shares his passion
Pat Cummins said the project means a lot to him. “Helping grow cricket at the grassroots level has always been close to my heart. Snick and Willow is a creative and exciting way to introduce the game to young fans all over the world," he shared.
He is especially excited about the character Willow, an 11-year-old girl who has just moved from Australia to India with her father, Johnno Evans, a local cricket coach. Cummins added, “Willow’s story is one I hope will resonate with young girls and encourage them to see themselves in the game.”
According to her profile, Willow is full of energy, curious, and ready to explore her new home. Despite cultural changes, she quickly connects with her surroundings through cricket. Her bold nature and love for the game make her a strong role model for children.
What makes Snick and Willow special?
Although Cummins' role in the show is still being finalised, he fully supports its vision. With strong themes of adventure, equality, and sportsmanship, the series aims to reach children aged 5 to 12 and their families. The show also fits well with Cricket Australia’s plan to boost youth involvement and increase diversity in the sport from 2022 to 2027.
