Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz issued a strong warning to Iran on Thursday, saying that Israel will strike again if Tehran poses any future threat.
"Israel’s long arm will reach you in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan, and anywhere you try to threaten or harm Israel. There is no place to hide," Katz said during a speech at an air force graduation ceremony, according to a statement from his office.
He added, "If we must return, we will do so with greater force."
Past Conflict Ended with US-Brokered Ceasefire
His remarks come just weeks after Israel carried out a 12-day air campaign against Iran in June. That offensive, which involved strikes on Iranian territory, raised global fears of a wider regional war. However, the fighting stopped after both nations agreed to a ceasefire brokered by US President Donald Trump, announced on June 23.
Targeting Nuclear Sites
During the June air strikes, Israel hit multiple Iranian nuclear facilities, claiming Iran was close to building a nuclear weapon. Iran denies it is developing nuclear arms. The United States also took part in the campaign, launching its own strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites.
