At least nine gunshots were fired at comedian Kapil Sharma’s newly opened café in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. According to an NDTV report, Khalistani terrorist Harjeet Singh Laddi has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Kap’s Café is Kapil Sharma’s first restaurant venture. His wife, Ginni Chatrath, is also part of the business. The café recently opened in Surrey, a city known for its large South Asian community.
Gunman Caught on Video
A video circulating on social media shows a man inside a vehicle firing multiple shots at the café. The footage, reportedly from July 9, captures the man firing at least nine rounds using a pistol. The video has sparked concern and raised security questions.
Terrorist Harjeet Laddi Claims Attack
Harjeet Singh Laddi, originally from Nawanshahr in Punjab, is a known member of the banned group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). He is currently on the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) list of most-wanted terrorists. Laddi has publicly taken responsibility for the shooting incident.
NIA Filed Charges Against Laddi Earlier
Last year, the NIA filed a charge sheet against Laddi and five others. The case involves the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Vikas Prabhakar, also known as Vikas Bagga, in Punjab. The charge sheet also named Pakistan-based BKI chief Wadhawa Singh.
