Lindsay Lohan Pays Homage to Her Iconic Roles at Freakier Friday Premiere
Lindsay Lohan channels her iconic characters with nostalgic fashion tributes at the Freakier Friday premiere and media appearances.
Lindsay Lohan made a dazzling return to the spotlight on July 31 at the London premiere of her latest movie, Freakier Friday. The film is a sequel to the 2003 hit Freaky Friday, and the 39-year-old actress marked the occasion by honouring her character, Anna Coleman, with a glamorous nod to the original film.

A Dress with a Familiar Flair

Lohan wore a modern version of the lilac dress her character famously donned during the wedding band performance scene in Freaky Friday. The updated gown, designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin, was styled by Andrew Mukamal and replaced the original’s white lace detailing with sparkling silver and white gemstones along the hem, hips, and straps. She accessorised the outfit with a vintage Judith Leiber handbag shaped like a red electric guitar—a clear reference to Anna Coleman’s guitar in the film.

To complete the look, she wore diamond drop earrings and her engagement ring. Her makeup remained soft and natural, and her long blonde hair was styled in loose waves. Mukamal later posted a comparison of Lohan’s premiere look with the original movie outfit on Instagram, captioned simply: “ANNA COLEMAN.”

Celebrating Her Movie Legacy

Throughout the week, Lohan embraced fashion tributes to her past roles. On July 28, during her appearance on Good Morning America, she wore a yellow plaid tweed Balmain co-ord set. The look paid homage to Annie James, her preppy character from The Parent Trap. The ensemble included a matching miniskirt and jacket from Balmain’s pre-spring 2026 collection, complemented by yellow heels, a yellow headband, diamond hoop earrings, and a black Hermès Birkin bag.

Later that day, on Live with Kelly & Mark, Lohan switched to another iconic character from The Parent Trap — Hallie Parker. She wore a cheongsam-style minidress from Roberto Cavalli, featuring tropical bird and floral prints. The dress, with its mandarin collar and corset waist, was a stylish update to Hallie’s original pale pink cheongsam from the 1998 film. She paired the look with a hot pink mini bag and tortoiseshell cat-eye sunglasses.
