Paris Jackson has ended her engagement with Justin Long. The 27-year-old singer, daughter of late pop legend Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe, had announced her engagement last December. At the time, she shared that she and Justin had been dating for two years.
Breakup Confirmed
Recently, Paris responded to a post on X (formerly Twitter) from the Daily Mail, which showed her crying while walking alone. The outlet suggested her tears were related to the anniversary of her father's death. Paris cleared the air, replying, “Those are breakup tears. y’all are fkn reaching again (sic)."
Shortly afterward, People magazine confirmed that Paris and Justin had officially called off their engagement.
A Dream Relationship Once
Paris had made her engagement public in December through a heartfelt post. She expressed her deep love for Justin, writing, “Happy birthday my sweet blue. doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and i couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. thank you for letting me be yours. i love you.(sic)”
However, that post has now been deleted.
Wedding Was Already Being Planned
Just weeks ago, Paris had shared that she was busy preparing for her wedding. She revealed that the wedding dress was being custom-made, and the date had already been chosen by an astrologer.
She told Access Hollywood, “The dress is being made, the venue has been picked and the date has been picked by an astrologer, because I’m from LA. I’m all about the crystals and the astrologer, and all that stuff."
Nervous but Sure of Her Choice
Earlier this year, Paris admitted she felt nervous about the idea of getting married. Still, she believed she was making the right decision.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said:
“It’s terrifying, it’s terrifying! I don’t know, it’s a big leap. It’s exciting and it’s thrilling and it’s a big step and I know that I’m making the right choice, which is a good feeling. I just picked a wedding planner, he’s super nice. He’s absolutely wonderful, we’re working on venues and dresses. I can’t say [much about the dress]."
Past Relationships and Expectations
Paris has previously been linked to model and actress Cara Delevingne. She has also spoken openly about her dating history, saying she always imagined she would marry a woman.
“[I] thought I’d end up marrying a chick. I’ve dated more women than men. Been with more chicks." she said.
