Two Dead, Six Injured in Shooting at Unofficial LA Music Festival After-Party
A late-night after-party in downtown Los Angeles ended in tragedy as a shooting left two people dead and six others injured.

A late-night celebration in downtown Los Angeles ended in tragedy after a shooting broke out during an unofficial after-party for a popular music festival. Two people lost their lives and six others suffered injuries.

Shooting Erupts at Downtown Warehouse Party

The violence happened early Monday morning inside a warehouse that hosted an after-party following the Hard Summer music festival. The main event had taken place over the weekend in Inglewood, about nine miles from the shooting site.

Police first received a call around 11 p.m. on Sunday. Witnesses reported seeing a man with a gun enter the building. Officers arrived and broke up what they described as a large gathering. They arrested one person at the time.

However, just a few hours later, things took a deadly turn.

Gunfire Reported Around 1 a.m.

Around 1 a.m., police were called back after reports of gunshots. When officers returned, they found several people shot. One man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman, who was critically injured, later died in the hospital.

According to the Associated Press, six other victims were taken to the hospital. Their current conditions have not been shared publicly. A local man told KABC-TV that his 29-year-old son was among those wounded.

No Suspect or Motive Confirmed Yet

Authorities have not identified any suspects or released a possible motive. Police officers stayed at the scene into Monday morning. They collected evidence and tried to understand what led to the shooting.

The event had been promoted on social media as a post-festival party, drawing large crowds. But what began as a fun night turned into a tragedy.

Police Ask for Public Help

The Los Angeles Police Department is urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. Investigators hope eyewitnesses or people with video from the party can help uncover what happened.
