Kapil Sharma’s café in Canada, Kap’s Cafe, has come under attack for the second time in less than a month. This time, around 25 shots were fired, raising fresh concerns about violence and extortion threats in the Surrey area.
Gang Member Claims Responsibility in Facebook Post
A Facebook post, allegedly from Goldy Dhillon of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the shooting. In the post, Dhillon issued a warning to the comedian, saying, “We take responsibility for the firing in Surrey. We had called him, but he did not hear the ring, so we had to take action. If he still does not hear the ring, the next action will be in Mumbai.” The message began with “JAI SHRI RAM, Satshriakal ram sare bhaiyo ko…” and directly mentioned the attack on Kapil Sharma’s café.
Viral Video Shows Gunfire
Police are still verifying the authenticity of the Facebook post. However, a video, allegedly from the incident, has gone viral on social media. In the footage, at least 25 gunshots can be heard, indicating a planned and targeted attack.
Kapil Sharma Speaks Out Against Violence
Recently, Sharma shared a collaborative Instagram post with his wife Ginni Chatrath, showing officials visiting his café. In the caption, he expressed gratitude to the Mayor, police, and other officials for their support, writing, “United we stand against violence. We’re truly grateful.” He made it clear that he does not support any kind of violence.
