From Rajasthan to the national stage
Manika hails from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, but currently lives in Delhi. She is in her final year of studying Political Science and Economics. Her journey began last year when she won the Miss Universe Rajasthan title, which gave her the chance to compete nationally.
With this victory, Manika will now represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand, scheduled for November this year.
India’s legacy at Miss Universe
India has a strong history at Miss Universe. Sushmita Sen made history in 1994 as the first Indian to win the crown. Six years later, Lara Dutta won in 2000. More recently, Harnaaz Sandhu brought glory back home in 2021.
Eyes on Thailand
As Manika prepares for her international debut, expectations are high. Many will watch closely to see if she can bring home India’s fourth Miss Universe crown and continue the country’s proud legacy.
