Tournament Begins Amid Political Tensions

For months, uncertainty surrounded the tournament due to India-Pakistan cross-border tensions. There were even calls to boycott the event. However, the Indian government eventually cleared the national team’s participation, prioritizing the bigger picture of Asian cricket unity.
