Kendall Jenner Plans to Leave Modelling for a Quiet Life in Home Design
Kendall Jenner has revealed her plans to step away from modelling to focus on home design and a simpler lifestyle away from the public eye.

Kendall Jenner, one of the world’s most successful supermodels, has shared her desire to quit modelling and pursue her passion for home design. The 29-year-old star opened up about her dream of living a quieter life, far from the constant spotlight that has defined her career.

Speaking to Vogue alongside fellow model Gigi Hadid, Kendall admitted she wants to focus on creating a more private and peaceful future.

“I swear to God, I’m going to stop everything and just design homes. I’m not kidding,” Kendall said, making it clear she envisions a life away from the glamour of fashion runways.

Dreaming of a Simple Life

Kendall explained that she enjoys her home in Los Angeles but prefers living simply without the pressures of fame. “I love my space in LA, but I also really love the simple life. I like getting up every morning and throwing on a bathing suit or sweatpants and no makeup and just being free with my day,” she said.

The model also described herself as a homebody who values normal, everyday experiences. She loves spending time at horse shows, where she competes under a different name to maintain privacy.

“I love to go to the horse show dressed just like everybody else and have my helmet on and my sunglasses and my uniform, and I can compete under a completely different name,” she revealed.

Kendall added that she thinks about her future often but tries not to plan everything in detail, despite naturally being a planner.

From Reality TV to Global Fame

Kendall first appeared on television at the age of 11 when Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered in 2007. Over the years, she built a highly successful modelling career, working with top luxury brands and walking for prestigious fashion houses.

Her work has made her one of the highest-paid models in the world. The Kardashian-Jenner family later signed a deal with Hulu in 2021 to continue their hit reality series under the title The Kardashians.

While Kendall remains part of the show, she admitted the format isn’t her favourite, saying, “It’s not my biggest cup of tea.”

Reflecting on Childhood and Fame

In August 2024, Kendall appeared on Emma Chamberlain’s Anything Goes podcast, where she reflected on growing up in the public eye.

She revealed that despite filming a TV show at home, she and her younger sister Kylie tried to keep parts of their lives as normal as possible.

“We went to school. We went to school as long as we could. I started home school, 11th and 12th grade,” she said.

Kendall added, “So even though we had a TV show at home, we were going to regular school all day and had our friends that we had from before the show started. Overall, I am really grateful because I think it could have been a lot worse.”

She credited her family for providing stability during her rise to fame. “I think that Kylie and I, the one thing we had was a lot of stability, a lot of love and a really great support system and really great friends. There’s also an aspect of us being really grateful that we had older siblings that we got to see do things before us and lead us in a way.”

A Possible Turning Point

Kendall’s comments suggest a major shift in her career path. After more than a decade in modelling and reality television, she now hopes to focus on designing homes and living a more private, balanced life.

Her decision marks a potential turning point, signaling the next chapter for one of fashion’s biggest names.
