Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Set for Grand Release on October 2 Amid Huge Buzz
Kantara: Chapter 1 is creating a huge buzz ahead of its release on October 2, with advance bookings showing strong demand.

Fans of Rishab Shetty are eagerly waiting for Kantara: Chapter 1. The film has created excitement across India and overseas. The trailer impressed viewers with stunning visuals, energetic music, and a gripping story. As the release date approaches, anticipation is growing even more. Advance bookings have opened in several regions. Fans in Karnataka and the USA booked tickets early. In North India, bookings started on September 28 and received an enthusiastic response.

Strong Advance Booking Numbers

Kantara: Chapter 1 is already performing well in advance sales. Reports show that the film sold around 7,200 tickets for opening day across top cinema chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. With three days left, sales are expected to rise further.

The film will release alongside Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, a romantic comedy starring Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Maniesh Paul. This film sold around 4,500 tickets so far. These numbers show that Kantara has an early advantage.

Hombale Films promoted advance bookings with a poster and message, “The doors of #Kantara are open… Advance Bookings for #KantaraChapter1 are now live across North India. Be among the first to witness the legend! In Cinemas #Kantara Chapter1 on Oct 2."

Makers Demand Maximum Shows

Reports suggest the makers want priority screenings in theatres. According to Bollywood Hungama, AA Films, the film’s distributors, sent emails to exhibitors requesting maximum shows.

A source said, “AA Films, the distributors of Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1, have mailed exhibitors to enquire about their show requirements. They have demanded that all the shows on single screens and 12 on two-screen halls. The latter also amounts to all shows; they mention the same clearly in the mail to avoid any confusion."

The source added, “Not just this, they have also requested 18 shows in three-screen multiplexes, which equates to each and every show. They are well aware that a film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, will be released alongside their film. Yet, they have asked for such a showcasing."

Full control of single and two-screen theatres is common. However, asking for all shows in a three-screen multiplex is unusual. This demand has created tension among distributors and theatre owners.

A Large-Scale Production

Kantara: Chapter 1 is one of Hombale Films’ biggest projects. Music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan worked together to create a visually stunning and emotional narrative.

The film includes a massive war sequence designed with help from national and international action experts. Over 500 trained fighters and 3,000 extras took part. Filming lasted 45 to 50 days on a rugged 25-acre location. It is one of the largest action sequences in Indian cinema.

Kantara: Chapter 1 will release worldwide on October 2 in seven languages: Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Prepares for Release

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will also release on October 2. The Hindi romantic comedy is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. It is produced by Dharma Productions and Mentor Disciple Entertainment.

The film stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, along with Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra. Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi play supporting roles. Its release during the Dussehra festival is expected to attract large family audiences. This sets up a major box office clash with Kantara: Chapter 1.
