Israel on High Alert as Trump Hints at Possible US Intervention in Iran
Israel remains on high alert as Trump signals possible US support for Iranian protesters amid deadly nationwide unrest.

Israel has moved into a high state of alert as tensions rise in Iran, where the country is facing its largest anti-government protests in years. This came just hours after US President Donald Trump strongly hinted at possible American involvement.

Israeli officials are closely watching developments, especially after violent clashes in Iran reportedly killed more than 100 people. The situation has raised concerns about regional stability and possible foreign intervention.

Israel Prepares for Possible US Action

Israeli security officials have begun preparations for a scenario in which the United States may step in. Senior Israeli leaders discussed the situation during internal security meetings over the weekend.

During a phone call on Saturday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The discussion reportedly focused on whether Washington might intervene as the crisis in Iran deepens.

Trump Signals Support for Protesters

US President Donald Trump added fuel to speculation with a post on Truth Social. He openly signaled support for Iranian protesters and suggested the US could assist them.

“Iran is looking at FREEDOM, perhaps like never before. The USA stands ready to help!!!” the post said.

In recent days, Trump has repeatedly warned Iran’s leadership. He cautioned against using force on demonstrators and hinted that the US could take stronger action if the violence continues.

Military Options Still on the Table

Reports suggest Trump has received briefings on possible military strike options. However, US officials said he has not yet made a final decision on whether to intervene directly.

For now, Washington appears to be weighing its choices carefully as the situation remains fluid.

Protests Spread Across Iran

The protests began in Tehran about two weeks ago. They first focused on economic hardship but quickly spread nationwide. Over time, demands grew louder for the removal of Iran’s clerical leadership.

Iranian authorities have accused the United States of fueling the unrest. Officials claim foreign interference is behind the demonstrations.

Iranian Authorities Issue Harsh Warnings

Iran’s Attorney General Mohammad Movahedi Azad issued a severe warning to protesters. He said participants would be treated as enemies of the state.

“All those participating in the protests would be considered an 'enemy of God',” he said.

Under Iran’s Islamic law, this charge can carry the death penalty. Human rights groups report that at least 116 people have been killed since the protests began on December 28.

Situation Remains Tense

As protests continue and global attention intensifies, Israel remains watchful. The possibility of US involvement has added another layer of uncertainty to an already volatile situation.
