Holi Celebrated with Joy and Colour Across India
People across India celebrated Holi with colours, music and rituals as leaders joined public festivities and shared messages of unity and joy.

People across India celebrated Holi with energy and joy. Different states organised colourful events. Families, friends and communities came together to mark the festival.

Delhi Celebrates with Colours and Music

Delhi saw large gatherings in streets, parks and housing colonies. People applied gulal and danced to music. They greeted each other and shared sweets.

The celebrations started the night before with Holika Dahan. Residents lit bonfires in colonies and temple compounds. They performed rituals to mark the victory of good over evil. Many families offered prayers and sweets.

On Holi morning, children used water guns and balloons. Neighbours visited each other and said “Happy Holi.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta celebrated Holi at her residence. She said she hopes the festival will bring a new phase of development to the capital. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari celebrated at his home and sang a traditional phag song.

Uttar Pradesh Joins Festivities

In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated Holi with the public at Ghantaghar Chauraha in Gorakhpur. He expressed happiness over the festive mood. He said such festivals spread joy and enthusiasm even when the world faces challenges.

People in Vrindavan and Mathura celebrated with dance and music. In Prayagraj, large crowds gathered at Loknath Chauraha to enjoy the festival.

Odisha and Chhattisgarh Celebrate

In Odisha, people celebrated at Bhima Bhoi Drustihina Vidyala in Bhubaneswar. Senior Congress leader Harichandan organised the event. Participants exchanged greetings and played with colours.

In Chhattisgarh, children celebrated Holi in Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai posted greetings on X. He said Holi is a sacred festival filled with a unique spectrum of colours, the sweet rhythm of enthusiasm, and boundless joy.

Telangana Sends Message of Unity

In Telangana, many people gathered at People’s Plaza in Hyderabad. Congress MLA Danam Nagendra said, "Holi is a festival where Hindus, Muslims and everyone come together to celebrate;c everyone should do away with their differences."

Madhya Pradesh and Assam Mark the Day

In Madhya Pradesh, people celebrated with enthusiasm. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav marked Holi in Bhopal. He extended greetings to people in the state and the country. He highlighted steps like the Kisan Cabinet and the increase in dearness allowance.

In Assam, people danced and celebrated. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma joined the Doul Utsav at Barpeta Satra on the occasion of Holi.

Festival of Good Over Evil

Holi holds deep meaning in Hindu culture. It symbolises the victory of good over evil. People begin the festival with Holika Dahan. They light a bonfire and perform rituals. The next day, they celebrate with colours, sweets and togetherness.

Holi once again united people across India in celebration and harmony.
