Recently, Akshay Kumar attended the trailer launch of his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla in Mumbai, along with producer Ektaa Kapoor and director Priyadarshan. During the event, Ektaa Kapoor shared an interesting memory from her earlier collaboration with the actor.

Ektaa Kapoor Recalls Akshay Kumar’s Rare Gesture

She revealed that when Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobara! failed at the box office, Akshay Kumar personally offered to return her money. In fact, he handed her a cheque to acknowledge her losses. As a result, Ektaa felt genuinely surprised, as she had never seen such generosity from any actor in her 31-year career.

Producer Chooses Future Collaboration

However, Ektaa Kapoor declined the offer and instead encouraged Akshay Kumar to collaborate with her again. She believed that working together on another project would help her recover financially, and eventually, they turned that belief into reality.

A Look Back at the Film

Earlier, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobara! released in 2013 under the direction of Milan Luthria, while Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor produced it. Although the film starred Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha alongside Akshay Kumar, it failed to perform well commercially.

Bhooth Bangla Promises Entertainment

Meanwhile, the makers launched the trailer of Bhooth Bangla, which blends horror with comedy. The story follows Akshay Kumar’s character as he explores a haunted mansion filled with ghosts in the village of Mangalpur.

Cast and Release Details

Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films, the film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav. Additionally, it features a posthumous appearance by veteran actor Asrani. The film will release in theatres on April 16, while a paid preview will take place at 9 pm.
