Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that the results of the local body elections in Gujarat reflect people’s faith in “good governance” and development-focused politics.
He said the strong mandate has strengthened the relationship between the people of Gujarat and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
BJP’s Performance Across Local Bodies
The BJP delivered a strong performance in elections for municipal corporations, municipalities, taluka panchayats, and district panchayats.
After the results, Modi shared a statement on X. He said voters once again supported the government’s focus on development and public welfare.
“By recognizing the people-centric and development-oriented work of the state government, the people of Gujarat have once again expressed their trust in the politics of good governance. These results clearly demonstrate that the public has given their heartfelt blessings to the tireless efforts made by the BJP over the years," the Prime Minister wrote.

The elections also covered nine newly created municipal corporations. These include Navsari, Gandhidham, Morbi, Vapi, Anand, Nadiad, Mehsana, Porbandar, and Surendranagar.
