Jennie’s ‘Like Jennie’ Tops Global Charts, Surpasses Lady Gaga’s Hit
Jennie’s hit single Like Jennie has become the most streamed song by a female artist worldwide in 2025, marking a major milestone in her solo career.

Jennie from BLACKPINK has reached another big milestone. Her solo song Like Jennie has become the most streamed track by any female artist worldwide in 2025. This record highlights her growing success as a solo K-pop star.

Like Jennie Tops Global Charts

Streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music show Like Jennie leading all songs by female artists this year. The track even passed Lady Gaga’s hit Abracadabra, which held the top spot earlier.

This is not the first record for the song. During the first half of 2025, Like Jennie also became the best-selling song by a K-pop artist in the U.S., selling over 500,000 units.

Ruby Earns Widespread Praise

Jennie’s solo debut album Ruby continues to impress. Top outlets such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, NME, and Complex called it the best K-pop album of 2025 so far. Going even further, music website Pitchfork named Ruby the greatest K-pop soloist album of all time.

What Like Jennie Really Means

Jennie released Like Jennie on March 7 as the fourth single from her album Ruby. In an interview with Elle Korea, she spoke about the deeper meaning of the song.

She said, “In Like Jennie, ‘Jennie’ is just a pronoun. I made this song to convey the message that anyone who names themselves can love themselves and shine in their own way, and it was only used because my name is ‘Jennie.’”

Jennie described the track as an anthem of confidence and healing. She hopes that listeners feel strong and empowered when they sing it.

A Solo Era to Remember

Jennie’s solo debut is not just about numbers. With Ruby and Like Jennie, she is making music that inspires and empowers. Her achievements prove that she’s not just a global star—she’s also a strong voice for self-love and confidence.
