The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a historic victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. With 39 out of the 70 seats, the BJP will form the government after 27 years. Key Election Results
One of the biggest upsets came when former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia conceded defeat to BJP's Tarvinder Singh Marwah in Jangpura. Meanwhile, BJP's Parvesh Verma triumphed over AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal in the high-profile New Delhi seat. - Vijender Gupta: Gupta, who won in Rohini, has significant political experience as the opposition leader in the Delhi Assembly. His resilience and leadership make him a top contender.
- Virendra Sachdeva: The current Delhi BJP president, Sachdeva played a major role in the party's success. Under his leadership, the BJP managed to secure a majority, and his role will likely influence the CM decision.
- Harish Khurana: As the son of former Delhi CM Madan Lal Khurana, Khurana brings a strong political background. He won the Moti Nagar seat and is being considered as a potential CM candidate due to his experience in the party.
- Bansuri Swaraj: Bansuri Swaraj, the daughter of the late Sushma Swaraj, also emerged as a contender. Having won the New Delhi seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, she is viewed as a rising star within the BJP.
