JD(U) Announces First List of 57 Candidates for Bihar Assembly Elections
JD(U) released its first list of 57 candidates for the Bihar Assembly polls, naming Anant Singh from Mokama and asserting its strength within the NDA.

The Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] on Wednesday announced its first list of 57 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The move followed days of internal talks over seat distribution within the NDA alliance.

JD(U) Names Key Candidates

Anant Singh will contest from the Mokama constituency, a politically important seat that has drawn recent attention. The JD(U) also announced candidates for four constituencies earlier claimed by Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). This step shows the party’s intent to strengthen its position within the NDA.

Focus on Election Readiness

With this announcement, JD(U) has taken a major step in its election campaign. The party wants to project unity and confidence ahead of the high-stakes Bihar polls.

Party leaders said the remaining candidates will be announced soon as part of the next phase of the list.
