Rani Mukerji is all set to return as fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3. The makers have released her first look and the release date of the film. On Monday, Yash Raj Films posted Rani’s first look on Instagram. She wears a black shirt, blue jeans, and black boots. Moreover, she holds a gun and points it straight at the camera.

Film to Hit Theatres in 2026

Along with the poster, YRF also revealed the release date. The caption read, "The countdown begins for #Mardaani3! On Holi, good will fight evil as Shivani Shivaji Roy returns to the big screen on February 27, 2026." Since Holi in 2026 falls on March 4, the makers chose a date close to the festival to highlight the film’s theme of good versus evil.

Rani Describes the Film as Intense

Rani Mukerji will reprise her role as the bold and justice-driven cop. She said the film is, “dark, deadly and brutal.” Therefore, fans can expect a gripping and emotional story.

Soon after the release of the poster, fans flooded the internet with praise. One fan commented, "This one franchise is far, far better than all Salman and Ranbir movies."
