PM Shehbaz: Ready for Neutral Investigation into Pahalgam Attack
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for a neutral investigation into the Pahalgam attack while denying any involvement and urging dialogue with India.

Pakistan has denied any role in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The assault killed 26 tourists and shocked the entire region. Now, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has offered to support a neutral investigation into the incident.

Sharif Calls for Independent Inquiry

Speaking to the media, PM Sharif said Pakistan supports a fair and transparent investigation. He asked for a neutral party to examine the Pahalgam attack and uncover the truth. “We are ready for an impartial probe,” he said. “Let justice be served without bias.” He also emphasized that Pakistan wants peace in the region. “We must resolve all issues through dialogue,” Sharif added.

India Blames Pakistan-Based Militants

India has blamed terrorist groups operating from Pakistan for the deadly attack. As a result, it took several tough actions. India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty and shut down its main land border with Pakistan. Security forces also launched a large-scale search operation in Jammu and Kashmir. Officials promised to bring the attackers to justice.

Pakistan Reaches Out for Dialogue

Despite the tensions, Pakistan has extended an offer for talks. PM Sharif asked India to move past its 2019 decision to scrap Jammu and Kashmir’s special status. He said this step could open the door to meaningful discussions. “We will continue to support the Kashmiri people diplomatically and politically,” he noted.

International Community Urges Restraint

Global leaders have expressed deep concern over the rising tensions. Many have called for calm and urged both countries to avoid further conflict. They stressed the importance of dialogue between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

What Comes Next?

India remains firm in its claims. Pakistan continues to deny involvement and demands a fair investigation. For now, the situation remains tense. Whether peace talks follow or hostilities grow will depend on how both nations respond in the coming days.
