Jennie from BLACKPINK became the center of a heated online debate after a recent podcast episode made damaging allegations about her. Fans quickly rushed to her defense.
Influencer Shares Unverified Story on Podcast
The controversy started on the ‘Above The Influence’ podcast. Kira, a social media influencer, talked about issues in the Korean entertainment industry. However, the focus shifted when Woohak, one of the hosts, told a personal story.
He said he once attended a summer camp with a person who claimed to be the son of the BMW heir. Woohak alleged that this person paid a large sum of money to sleep with Jennie. He even claimed to have seen a video of it.
No Evidence Presented
Despite the serious nature of the story, neither Woohak nor Kira provided any proof. The entire conversation relied only on word-of-mouth claims. As a result, fans and social media users began to question the podcast’s intentions and credibility.
Fans Defend Jennie on Social Media
Soon after the podcast aired, fans spoke up online. They strongly criticized the podcasters for spreading what they called false and harmful rumors.
One fan wrote, “You all are throwing around some serious and disturbing accusations for it to be ‘he said, she said.’”
Another user added, “I kneewwwww I had a valid reason not to like this guy whenever videos of him popped up on my Instagram explore page. Dude gave me the ick,” referring to Woohak.
Many pointed out that such claims could damage Jennie’s reputation and mental health.
More Controversial Remarks in the Podcast
In the same episode, Kira made another bold statement. She claimed that the K-pop group BIGBANG was involved in the Burning Sun scandal. Kira also alleged that member Seungri was paid off to go to jail.
Again, no evidence was shown to support this accusation.
Public Calls for Accountability
Following the podcast, backlash grew rapidly. Listeners criticized the hosts for making unproven and dangerous claims. Many accused them of using celebrities’ names to gain attention. Supporters flooded social media with love for Jennie. They demanded an apology and warned against spreading such harmful stories without facts.
