Housefull 5 released in theatres on Friday, June 6. The film opened well. According to Sacnilk, it made ₹40 crore worldwide on Day 1. On the second day, it performed even better. It reached ₹87 crore in total global earnings.

India and Overseas Collection

The film earned ₹24 crore in India on Day 1. On Day 2, it collected ₹31 crore. So, its total net collection in India now stands at ₹55 crore. The gross total in India is ₹65 crore. It also made ₹22 crore from overseas markets.

Beats Other Recent Films

In just two days, Housefull 5 crossed the lifetime collections of Bhool Chuk Maaf and Deva. Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, released on May 23. It earned ₹68.06 crore in India and ₹81.6 crore worldwide.

Shahid Kapoor’s Deva collected ₹58 crore globally. Both films now trail behind Akshay Kumar’s latest release.

Mixed Reviews from Critics

Critics had mixed reactions. Hindustan Times wrote, “The film starts off on a funny note, helped along by Shreyas Talpade’s presence. But it lacks the energy you’d expect for the kind of boisterous ride you’ve signed up for—until Akshay walks in, Ace Ventura-style. His comic timing immediately lifts the film, but I can’t say the same for the other characters.”
