Supporting Cast and First Glimpse
The first look video, which runs for 2 minutes and 40 seconds, blends mystery, aggression, and high-voltage action. Alongside Ranveer, the cast includes Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Tamil actor Sara Arjun. The video is set to a hard-hitting track composed by Shashwat, with vocals by Jasmine Sandlas and rapper Hanumankind, who adds a unique edge. The teaser ends with the caption, “An Inferno will rise. Ranveer Clears His Instagram Ahead of Reveal
A day before the big reveal, fans noticed that Ranveer had wiped his Instagram account clean, leaving just one story that read “12:12” with sword emojis. As it turns out, this was a teaser for the Dhurandhar announcement. This also marks his return as a lead after Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023. Though he had a short appearance as Simmba in Singham Again, Dhurandhar will be his major comeback.
Aditya Dhar’s Secret Birthday Surprise Backfires
Director Aditya Dhar had planned to surprise Ranveer with the Dhurandhar first look on his birthday, July 6. However, Ranveer got wind of it. When he confronted Dhar, the director initially tried to dodge the question but eventually admitted it. He then requested Ranveer to wait and trust him for the grand reveal.
Sources from the film set say Aditya had gone to great lengths to keep the surprise under wraps. Despite Ranveer having seen earlier drafts, the final version of the teaser had been tightly guarded. They also revealed that Ranveer had been eagerly asking questions about the project in the lead-up to the unveiling.
