Fourteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become a breakout star. The young left-hander caught everyone’s attention during the India U19 vs England U19 series. He batted with confidence and aggression. Except for the final game, he dominated every match. Across five ODIs, he scored 355 runs, earning praise from fans and experts alike.
Record-Breaking Knock in Fourth ODI
In the fourth match, Suryavanshi smashed 143 runs, setting a new record for the fastest century in Youth ODIs. He broke the previous record held by Pakistan’s Kamran Ghulam. His brilliant innings made him the biggest attraction in the series.
Fans Travel Hours Just to See Him
Suryavanshi’s popularity is soaring. Fans from across the UK travelled to see him play live. Two girls, Aanya and Rivaa, who are also 14, drove six hours to Worcester to meet their idol. They wore Rajasthan Royals jerseys and clicked a picture with him.
The official Rajasthan Royals handle posted the moment on social media, writing,“Proof why we have the best fans. Drove for 6 hours to Worcester. Wore their Pink. Cheered for Vaibhav & Team India. Aanya and Rivaa, as old as Vaibhav himself, had a day to remember.”

India U19 Win the Series 3-2
Thanks to Suryavanshi’s fearless batting, India U19 won the five-match series 3-2. Even when early wickets fell, he gave the team strong starts. Though he couldn’t make a mark in the final game, his efforts throughout the series made a huge difference.
From IPL Phenom to Youth Hero
Suryavanshi became a household name during the IPL 2025 season. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, he hit a stunning 35-ball century against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. This made him the youngest player ever to score a century in men’s T20 cricket and the second-fastest centurion in IPL history.
He made his debut against Lucknow Super Giants after Sanju Samson was ruled out due to injury. Right from his first ball, he made an impact. He hit Shardul Thakur for a six on the very first delivery he faced.
Youngest Ever to Earn an IPL Deal
At just 13 years old, Suryavanshi made history during the IPL 2025 auction. He became the youngest player to sign an IPL contract, when Rajasthan Royals bought him for INR 1.1 crore.
