As the match progressed, Basavareddy started to struggle with cramps and fatigue after the second set. This shift in his physical condition allowed Djokovic to capture the third set 6-4, giving him a 2-1 lead.
In the fourth set, Djokovic maintained his momentum and decisively won 6-2. Therefore, he comfortably secured his place in the next round.

Following the match, Djokovic praised Basavareddy’s performance. "I was impressed by him," Djokovic stated. "The whole stadium showed their appreciation for his fighting spirit and high-quality play."
