A fire broke out in two parked vehicles near the Mahakumbh Mela site in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday morning. Authorities quickly sent fire trucks to the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
"We received information about a fire in a Maruti Ertiga car around 6:30 am. In response, we sent six fire brigades and water tenders immediately. The fire was quickly controlled, and thankfully, no one was harmed," said Vishal Yadav, a fire services officer.
Cause of the Fire
Yadav explained that the fire was caused by the extreme heat from the large number of parked vehicles for the Mahakumbh Mela.Previous Fire Incident at Mahakumbh
This fire follows another incident at the Mahakumbh venue on January 19. Police believe a cylinder explosion caused the fire. Additionally, the Additional District Magistrate, Vivek Chaturvedi, stated that 70 to 80 huts and 8 to 10 tents were destroyed.
Firefighters Quickly Respond
MK Sharma, Deputy Inspector General of NDRF, said that four NDRF teams worked together to control the fire. After the fire, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav urged the authorities to take steps to prevent future incidents.Massive Turnout at Mahakumbh Mela
