India’s Got Latent Controversy: YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia’s Show Sparks Outrage Over Inappropriate Remarks
A complaint has been filed against YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia and others for using abusive language on India's Got Latent, sparking widespread backlash.
A complaint has been filed in Mumbai against YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, influencer Apoorva Mukhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the organizers of India's Got Latent for using abusive language on the show. This complaint was submitted to the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women's Commission, demanding strict action against those involved.

Controversial Remarks Spark Outrage

During the episode, Allahabadia asked a controversial "would you rather" question about a sexual or intimate relationship between parents. As a result, his remarks quickly went viral and sparked a massive backlash on social media. Netizens criticized him heavily for his inappropriate comment.

CM Fadnavis Responds

When asked about the incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded, saying, "I have come to know about it. I have not seen it yet. Things have been said and presented in a wrong way. Everyone has freedom of speech but our freedom ends when we encroach upon the freedom of others." He emphasized that violating societal norms is wrong and that action should be taken.

Public Backlash Intensifies

In addition, many users on X expressed their outrage. One user commented, "Freedom of speech is a double-edged sword. Sadly, sometimes it allows for the propagation of mediocrity and shock value masquerading as content." Another user added, "This is sick perversion, not comedy." Clearly, the public is not happy with the creators' behavior. Manoj Muntashir Shukla also criticized the show and its creators in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

No Response from Creators

As of now, Ranveer Allahabadia and the other creators involved have not commented on the controversy. However, it remains to be seen how they will respond to the growing backlash.
