Bill Gates and Sachin Tendulkar share a fun vada pav moment, while India's cricket legend continues to inspire with his unmatched legacy.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar shared a lighthearted moment during Gates’ visit to India. He posted a video on Instagram with the caption, "A snack break before we get to work."

In the video, both icons sit on a bench and enjoy vada pav, a popular Indian snack. Towards the end, the clip displays the words, "Serving soon."

Later, Gates shared his thoughts about India in a blog post. He noted that India is full of smart, ambitious people who solve some of the world’s toughest problems with creativity. He wrote, "I came away with new ideas because India is full of smart, ambitious people tackling some of the world's hardest problems in creative ways."

Sachin Tendulkar: A Cricket Icon

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar, famously called the 'God of Cricket,' holds numerous records. Notably, he remains the highest run-scorer in Test and One-Day Internationals (ODIs). He is also the only player to score 100 international centuries.

Tendulkar’s Early Cricket Journey

At just 16 years old, Tendulkar made his Test debut on November 15, 1989. Soon after, on December 18, 1989, he played his first ODI match. Over the next two decades, he played 664 international matches, scoring 34,357 runs at an average of 48.52. To this day, his record of 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries remains unmatched.

Unmatched Cricket Achievements

In addition, Tendulkar was the first cricketer to score a double century in ODIs. He also set a record by playing 200 Test matches. In terms of statistics, his ODI career saw him score 18,426 runs at an average of 44.83, with 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries. Similarly, in Tests, he amassed 15,921 runs at 53.78, with 51 centuries and 68 fifties.

Tendulkar’s World Cup and IPL Triumphs

Furthermore, Tendulkar played a key role in India’s 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup-winning team. After making his World Cup debut in 1992, he finally fulfilled his dream of lifting the trophy in 2011.

Additionally, from 2008 to 2013, he played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. Eventually, in 2013, he helped them win the IPL title, capping off an extraordinary career.

Even today, Tendulkar’s records and achievements continue to inspire cricketers and fans worldwide. Without a doubt, his name remains synonymous with excellence in cricket.
