FC Goa Clinch Kalinga Super Cup with 3-0 Win Over Jamshedpur
FC Goa crushed Jamshedpur FC 3-0 to win the Kalinga Super Cup and qualify for the AFC Champions League Two.

FC Goa defeated Jamshedpur FC 3-0 on Saturday in Bhubaneswar. As a result, they won the Kalinga Super Cup with ease. Borja Herrera scored twice. Dejan Dražić added another goal in the second half. This victory marked FC Goa’s first trophy under coach Manolo Márquez.

Goa Make History

Notably, this is FC Goa’s second Super Cup title. Therefore, they became the first club to win the tournament twice. Moreover, the win helped them qualify for the AFC Champions League Two 2025-26. They will return to Asian football after four years.

Goa Break Jamshedpur’s Defence

Until the final, Jamshedpur FC had not conceded a single goal. However, FC Goa broke that record with their attacking play. They passed the ball well and created constant pressure.

In the 23rd minute, Sangwan sprinted down the left. He shot powerfully at goal. Although Albino Gomes stopped the first shot, Borja Herrera reacted quickly. His first attempt was blocked, but he calmly scored with the second.

Jamshedpur Struggle to Respond

Later in the first half, Jamshedpur got close. Lazar Ćirković’s header hit the crossbar. Still, they failed to build more attacks. Then, in the 51st minute, Goa struck again. Borja carried the ball from midfield. He fired a stunning 25-yard shot into the top corner. The goalkeeper had no chance.

Goa Finish Strong

Jamshedpur tried to come back. Jordan Murray set up Javier Siverio, but Siverio missed from close range. Finally, in the 71st minute, FC Goa sealed the win. McHugh sent a perfect pass through the defence. Dražić ran forward, rounded the goalkeeper, and scored easily.
