PM Modi Oversaw Operation Sindoor During Overnight Precision Strikes
India launched Operation Sindoor, a precision strike on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, following the Pahalgam attack, with PM Modi monitoring the mission overnight.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained actively involved as Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor during the night. According to ANI, he personally monitored the mission as the Army, Navy, and Air Force struck terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

India Targets Top Terror Commanders

Indian missiles hit nine terror-linked locations in Pakistan and PoK. These strikes focused on eliminating senior leaders of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Both groups have been involved in multiple attacks against India. The military operation came in direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 25 Indian citizens and one person from Nepal. In the early hours of Wednesday, Indian forces struck terror infrastructure across the border.

No Escalation, No Army Targets

The Ministry of Defence explained that the mission was “focused, measured, and non-escalatory.” Importantly, Indian forces did not target any Pakistani military facilities, avoiding further escalation. All three branches of India’s military used modern weapons, including loitering munitions. These munitions can hover over a location before hitting the target. The entire operation took place from within Indian territory. According to defence sources, intelligence agencies provided accurate target coordinates, which helped reduce collateral damage.

Pakistan Fires Back With Artillery

Shortly after the Indian strikes, Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement. It opened artillery fire in the Bhimber Gali area of Jammu and Kashmir. Indian officials confirmed that the Army responded in a “calibrated manner” to prevent escalation.

The Indian Army posted the following message on X: “Pakistan again violates the Ceasefire Agreement by firing artillery in Bhimber Gali in the Poonch-Rajouri area. The Indian Army is responding appropriately.”

Bahawalpur Among Key Targets in Operation Sindoor

The Defence Ministry revealed that the strikes included Bahawalpur, a known base of Jaish-e-Mohammed. The attack on this site was part of Operation Sindoor, which was launched to punish those behind the Pahalgam massacre.

At 1:44 am, the ministry released an official statement reaffirming the mission’s nature:

“The action was focused, measured, and non-escalatory.”

Pakistan Condemns Strikes, Calls Them Act of War

In response, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the strikes. He declared:

“Pakistan has every right to respond forcefully to this act of war imposed by India, and a forceful response is being given.”
