Iranian commander Mohsen Rezaei claimed that Pakistan has promised to launch a nuclear attack on Israel if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran. During an interview on Iranian state television, Rezaei said Pakistan gave this assurance in private discussions.
He stated that “Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran, they will attack Israel with a nuclear bomb.” However, Pakistani authorities have not confirmed or denied this statement.
Ties Between Iran and Pakistan Have Improved
Although Iran and Pakistan exchanged missiles briefly in early 2024, both countries have since improved their relationship. Rezaei said Pakistan now supports Iran and called for unity among Muslim nations.
He also mentioned that Iran possesses “undisclosed capabilities” that are still hidden from the world.
Pakistan Urges Unity Against Israel
On June 14, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif addressed the National Assembly. He said Muslim countries must come together against Israel. According to him, “Israel has targeted Iran, Yemen, and Palestine. If Muslim nations don’t unite now, each will face the same fate.”
He also urged countries with diplomatic ties to Israel to cut them. Moreover, he called on the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to meet and create a joint strategy.
Airstrikes Continue Between Israel and Iran
On Friday, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Iran, targeting military and nuclear facilities. In return, Iran carried out retaliatory missile attacks.
Israeli officials reported that Iran's missile response killed at least 13 people and injured over 370. Meanwhile, Iran's health ministry said the Israeli attacks left 128 people dead and nearly 900 wounded.
