US President Donald Trump issued a strong warning to Iran on Monday. He demanded the immediate evacuation of Tehran and criticized Iran for not agreeing to a nuclear deal with the United States.
Trump’s Message Sparks Panic
Soon after his message, fear spread across Tehran, a city of around 10 million people. Explosions were reported in the eastern part of the capital, which added to the panic.
Trump posted the following statement on Truth Social, “Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and what a waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”
White House Offers Clarification
However, a White House official stepped in to clarify Trump’s statement. According to the official, Trump was not literally asking civilians to flee. Instead, he was warning Iran in a dramatic way.
Trump Urges Iran to Negotiate
Later, while speaking to reporters before a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Trump repeated his warning. He said Iran appeared open to discussions to reduce tensions with Israel. “I see that Iran is not winning this war,” Trump said. “They should talk, and they should talk immediately — before it’s too late.”
Tensions Remain High
Meanwhile, tensions between Iran, Israel, and the US continue to grow. Trump has long opposed Iran’s nuclear program. He blamed Iran for rejecting the deal offered during his presidency. According to him, that decision was a mistake that could lead to further danger.
