A simple kiss cam moment turned into a public scandal for Astronomer CEO Andy Bryon. During a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Boston on Wednesday, frontman Chris Martin started the usual kiss cam game. The camera focused on Bryon and Kristin Cabot, the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer, sitting together. Bryon had his arms wrapped around Cabot, and their fingers were interlocked.
Chris Martin joked, “Look at these two,” as Cabot covered her face in shock and Bryon quickly tried to duck out of view. Martin then added, “Oh, what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I hope we didn’t do something bad."
The couple’s nervous reaction immediately raised suspicions. Soon, the clip went viral online. The reason? Bryon is married with two children, and Cabot is the head of the company’s HR department.

Who Is Kristin Cabot?
Before joining Astronomer, Kristin Cabot was already known in Silicon Valley. She specialised in managing company culture during rapid growth phases. In November 2024, she became Astronomer’s Chief People Officer. Earlier, she worked with companies like Neo4j, ObserveIT, and ProofPoint. She holds a Political Science degree from Gettysburg College.
When she joined Astronomer, Bryon praised her by saying, “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory." He added that her passion for creating diverse, collaborative workplaces made her a “perfect fit.”
Cabot divorced her husband Kenneth Thornby in 2022 after filing for divorce in 2018. They share at least one child. Reports say Thornby paid her a lump-sum child support amount.
Cabot Previously Claimed She “Wins Trust” of CEOs
Before this scandal, Cabot described herself as a leader who easily gained the trust of company heads. Her LinkedIn bio claimed she “wins trust with employees of all levels, from CEOs to managers to assistants.” She also mentioned building “award-winning cultures” for startups and global companies.
After the scandal broke, social media users mocked Cabot. One user joked, “Cost of a concert: Hotel $200, tickets $600, food/drinks $150, divorce attorney $50,000. Getting exposed by Coldplay having an affair with your co-worker: priceless.”
Meanwhile, many users noticed that Bryon’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Bryon, had removed her married name from her Facebook profile. One user posted, “What a class act! Go Megan. Get that divorce lawyer and get the money.”
