XG, short for Xtraordinary Girls, is a Japanese girl group based in South Korea. Formed by Japan’s XGLAX, the seven-member group has quickly risen in the global pop scene since debuting in 2022. The members are Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Juria, Cocona, Maya, and Harvey. They officially debuted on March 18, 2022, with their digital single “Tippy Toes.” Since then, they have explored various genres, ranging from rap-heavy tracks like “Woke Up” to Y2K-inspired songs such as “Left Right” and “Shooting Star.” Their blend of hip-hop and R&B influences has become their signature style.
Global Focus from the Start
From the beginning, XG aimed for an international audience. The group’s music, visuals, and performances are designed to appeal to fans worldwide, not just in Japan. Their diverse sound has helped them build a global fan base.
Major Global Stage Appearance
In April, XG made headlines by performing at Coachella for the first time. Their debut at the world-famous music festival marked a major step in their international journey and earned them much attention.
In just three years, XG has moved from a debut single to performing on one of the world’s biggest stages, making a strong impact in the global pop and hip-hop scene.
