US President Donald Trump has once again said that he helped stop several major international conflicts. On Sunday, he posted on his platform Truth Social and directly responded to radio host and author Charlamagne Tha God. According to Trump, the host knew “nothing” about his past achievements.
He wrote, “Like just ending 5 Wars, including a 31 year bloodbath between Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, where Seven Million people have died, and there was no end in sight.” Furthermore, he added, “He didn’t know that, or India and Pakistan or, wiping out Iran’s nuclear capabilities, or closing the horrendous open Border, or creating the greatest economy.”
Trump Repeats Ceasefire Claim Between India and Pakistan
Earlier, in May, Trump claimed that he had helped India and Pakistan agree to a ceasefire. He said both countries had agreed to a “full and immediate” ceasefire. Moreover, he stated that this happened after a “long night” of U.S.-led negotiations. He presented himself as the key figure behind the peace move.
White House Pushes for Nobel Prize
Just days before Trump’s latest post, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt strongly defended his peace efforts. She claimed that Trump deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. According to her, he played a major role in ending disputes in many parts of the world.
In addition, she stated that Trump had successfully brokered one peace deal every month during a six-month period. She also named several regions where Trump allegedly brought peace, such as Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
More Voices Join in Trump’s Praise
Leavitt emphasized, “It’s well past time that President Trump was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.” She said he stepped in when other leaders had failed. As a result, she believes Trump should be recognized for solving long-standing global problems.
Meanwhile, Trump’s own words continue to highlight his achievements. He used the post to remind people of what he believes he did right while in office. Therefore, as the U.S. enters another election season, Trump is once again trying to shape his legacy as a peacemaker.
