Netanyahu Rules Out Gaza Annexation, Urges Hamas to Disarm for Peace
Netanyahu said Israel won’t annex Gaza and the war can end immediately if Hamas disarms, while stressing India is a “solid partner” for both Israel and the US.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear that Israel has no plan to annex Gaza. In an interview with CNN-News18, he said, “Israel will not annex Gaza,” and explained that the war could end immediately “if Hamas lays down arms.”

He emphasized that Israel's aim is to eliminate Hamas, not to occupy the region. To ensure future safety, he said Israel will set up a security perimeter around Gaza. Though he didn’t go into detail, he also mentioned the possibility of an international administration for Gaza after the war.

Destroying Hamas and Rescuing Hostages

Netanyahu stressed that destroying Hamas and bringing hostages home remain top priorities. As he put it, “We will destroy Hamas. We will get our hostages back.”

He also urged for a separation between civilians and militants, stating, “Innocents must be separated from Hamas.”

According to him, peace is possible if Hamas surrenders. “The war can be over tomorrow,” he said, pointing out that it all depends on Hamas giving up weapons.

India Is a Trusted Partner

Netanyahu described India as a “solid partner” for both Israel and the United States. He said, “There is a basic understanding in America that India is a natural partner. Obstacles can be dealt with. This is a temporary obstacle.”

He also praised India’s Operation Sindoor, noting that “the equipment given before worked well during Operation Sindoor,” and described it as “battle proven.”

Shared Goals with the U.S. and India

Netanyahu emphasized that America, India, and Israel have common interests. He called for cooperation, saying, “The goal for America and India is for both sides to succeed.”

He added, “There is so much common ground between Delhi and Washington. A way can be found to resolve this.” He believes that finding a solution quickly is important for all three nations. “It’s in the interests of both India and America and Israel for this to end quickly,” he concluded.
