For the first time in history, a K-pop girl group has headlined London’s legendary Wembley Stadium. BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa performed in front of nearly 78,000 fans each night during two back-to-back sold-out shows. This milestone puts them in the same league as global icons like Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, BTS, and Oasis, who previously made history at the venue.
Lisa expressed her gratitude, saying, “This is an absolute honour to be performing here at Wembley Stadium. We’re absolutely in awe of you guys for showing up and making this possible.” Jennie called it “an epic dream.” Meanwhile, Rosé, who looked emotional on stage, added, “The last time we were here in London was insane, but this was a whole other level. We’re really grateful you stuck around and supported us.”
Power-Packed Show with Global Hits
The two-and-a-half-hour concert dazzled fans with pyrotechnics, lasers, and massive video screens, ensuring everyone got close-up views of the members. BLACKPINK performed some of their biggest hits, including Kill This Love, How You Like That, Pink Venom, Shut Down, Whistle, and DDU-DU DDU-DU.
They also surprised fans with their brand-new single Jump, which smashed YouTube records by gaining 26 million views within a day.
Throughout the show, the group interacted warmly with the audience. At one point, Rosé stopped mid-performance to tie her shoelace as her fellow members laughed, creating a lighthearted moment that quickly spread online. Despite their different solo styles—Lisa’s energetic rock vibe, Rosé’s heartfelt ballads, Jennie’s bold stage presence, and Jisoo’s powerful vocals—their chemistry on stage was undeniable.
Tour Success and Future Stops
The Wembley concerts marked the end of the European leg of BLACKPINK’s Deadline World Tour, which includes 31 concerts across 16 cities. Next year, the tour will continue across Asia, with performances scheduled in Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong throughout 2026.
BLACKPINK have already become the first female K-pop group to sell one million albums and continue to set records with the highest-grossing tour by a female group, surpassing even the Spice Girls’ Born Pink tour.
Buzz Around a New Album
Alongside their tour success, speculation is growing about a possible comeback. According to a source in the South Korean music industry, BLACKPINK may release a mini album in November 2025. Reports suggest that the members have already finished their cover photoshoot and are close to completing the recording process.
However, their agency YG Entertainment has not confirmed the news. Instead, it said it would share updates later, leaving fans eagerly waiting.
