‘Dance Is My Strength, Not a Limitation,’ Says Nora Fatehi
Nora Fatehi plans to prove her acting talent while staying true to her passion for dance and dreams of opening a global dance academy.

Nora Fatehi has earned a strong reputation as a performer with viral dance hits like Dilbar (2018), O Saki Saki (2019), Garmi (2020), and her recent number Oh Mama! Tetema.

Now, with upcoming projects like Kanchana 4, Nora hopes to showcase her acting skills and expand her career beyond dance.

When asked if her popularity as a dancer has limited filmmakers’ perception of her, the 33-year-old admitted that it has been both a challenge and an opportunity.

Dance Opened Doors, Not Limitations

Nora shared, “When you’re known for something so strongly, people can tend to put you in a box. But I see dance as a strength, not a limitation. It opened doors for me, and now it’s up to me to prove myself with roles that showcase my acting as well. I feel makers are slowly beginning to see that I can bring more to the table than just dancing.”

Her statement reflects her determination to grow as an artist while acknowledging that her dance performances built the foundation of her career.

Plans for a Global Dance Academy

Although Nora is focused on acting, she remains deeply connected to dance. She revealed that she has been planning to open a worldwide dance academy for years.

She explained, “I have been thinking about starting my own worldwide dance academy for years! That’s why I started the #dancewithnora community. This community is real; it’s a connection, it’s a feeling, it’s our own world where we encourage and inspire. This is the seed for the academy. One day, I know it’s going to happen… I am just waiting for the right moment.”

Through this initiative, Nora hopes to inspire dancers globally and create a space that celebrates creativity and passion.

Rising Above Early Career Advice

Building her career independently, Nora often received advice about shaping her public image. She recalled her early struggles with a laugh.

“Oh yes, I’ve heard all sorts of advice in my early years, and looking back, I find them quite funny. I think what really works is being yourself and embracing your ambitions. At the end of the day, nobody wants a copy of someone else; it’s your uniqueness that makes you stand out.”

Her journey reflects her belief in authenticity and individuality, qualities that have helped her connect with fans worldwide.
