Tejashwi Yadav Promises Jobs, ₹30,000 Salary for Jeevika Didis
Tejashwi Yadav announced bold promises for Jeevika Didis, including government jobs, higher pay, and loan waivers, as RJD unveiled its Bihar election candidate list.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday announced major benefits for “Jeevika Didis,” the women working under Bihar’s rural livelihood mission. He said the workers would get government employee status and a monthly salary of ₹30,000.

Yadav made the promise after visiting several Jeevika centers and listening to their complaints. “We will fulfill every promise we are making, no matter the cost. The extent of exploitation faced by Jeevika Didis cannot even be described,” he said.

By making this announcement, Yadav aimed to highlight his commitment to women’s welfare and labor rights.

Yadav Announces Loan Waivers and Extra Benefits

Moving forward, Yadav promised more relief for these workers. He said Jeevika Didis would not pay any loan interest for the next two years. During this time, they would receive interest-free loans, a ₹2,000 monthly allowance, and insurance worth ₹5 lakh.

He explained that these steps would “recognize the hard work of women in rural Bihar” and help them achieve financial stability.

Tejashwi Targets the NDA Government

Shifting focus to the ruling coalition, Yadav accused the NDA government of promoting corruption instead of development. He said Bihar’s people still face “poverty, migration, inflation, and unemployment,” despite the government’s tall claims.

“The time has come to reach out and directly communicate with the public,” he said, signaling an aggressive campaign strategy.

RJD Unveils New Welfare Schemes BETI and MAA

In addition, Yadav announced two new welfare schemes — BETI and MAA. He explained that MAA stands for housing, food, and income, and the programs aim to strengthen families, secure basic needs, and boost livelihoods.

He further said that if RJD comes to power, it will waive loan interest for up to two years to ease the financial pressure on families.

RJD Releases Candidate List for Bihar Polls

As the election nears, RJD has released its official list of 143 candidates. Among them, 24 are women.

Tejashwi Yadav will contest from Raghopur, Lalit Yadav from Darbhanga Rural, Dilip Singh from Barauli, Ram Vilas Paswan from Pirpainti (SC), and Savitri Devi from Chakai.

The party released the list on the last day of nominations for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections.

Mahagathbandhan’s Seat-Sharing Plan Becomes Clear

With this announcement, the Mahagathbandhan alliance has become more defined. RJD will contest 143 seats, Congress 61, and CPI (ML) 20. The remaining seats are expected to go to Mukesh Sahani’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP).

However, a few last-minute changes are still possible as the alliance has not been officially confirmed.
