AIFF Super Cup 2025-26: Bengaluru FC Cruise Past Gokulam Kerala 4-0 to Remain Unbeaten
Bengaluru FC produced a stunning display in Fatorda, thrashing Gokulam Kerala FC 4-0 to move level with Punjab FC at the top of Group C in the AIFF Super Cup 2025–26.

Bengaluru FC showed complete control as they dismantled Gokulam Kerala FC 4-0 in their Group C clash of the AIFF Super Cup 2025-26 at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda, Goa, on Sunday, November 2, 2025. The Blues led 2-0 at halftime and never looked in trouble throughout the match.

Ryan Williams starred with two brilliant goals, scoring early in both halves. Vinith Venkatesh and Sunil Chhetri also found the net, sealing an emphatic win. With this result, Bengaluru moved to six points from two games, matching Punjab FC in both goal difference and goals scored.

Early breakthrough from Williams

Bengaluru wasted no time asserting their authority. Playing with high intensity and sharp passing, they took the lead in the seventh minute. Australian forward Ryan Williams received a long ball from Sirojiddin Kuziev, controlled it neatly, and slotted a low shot into the bottom corner past goalkeeper Rakshit Dagar.

Just minutes later, Braian Sánchez and Taorem Kelvin Singh combined well on the right flank, creating another chance that kept Gokulam under pressure.

Gokulam struggle to respond

Although Gokulam Kerala slowly found their rhythm, they struggled to break through Bengaluru’s solid defence. In the 17th minute, Alfred Planas delivered a fine corner that Harpreet Singh headed just wide. Later, Samuel Lyngdoh tested Gurpreet Singh Sandhu with a powerful strike in the 32nd minute, but the Bengaluru goalkeeper made a confident save.

Venkatesh doubles the lead before halftime

As halftime approached, Bengaluru continued to look threatening. In the 44th minute, Williams passed the ball to Kelvin Singh on the left, who set up Vinith Venkatesh. Showing great composure, Venkatesh calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 for Bengaluru.

Williams scores again to seal control

After the break, Bengaluru maintained their momentum. In the 50th minute, Ashique Kuruniyan’s deep pass found Williams in space. The Australian forward timed his run perfectly and curled a precise left-footed shot into the far corner, extending Bengaluru’s lead to 3-0 and securing his brace.

Chhetri adds the finishing touch

The dominance continued after the hour mark. Williams turned provider this time, sprinting down the left wing before slipping the ball to substitute Sunil Chhetri. The Indian skipper made no mistake, gliding past the defenders and finishing from close range to make it 4-0.

Gokulam tried to find a late consolation when Emil Benny unleashed a long-range strike, but Gurpreet Singh Sandhu denied him with another strong save, ensuring a clean sheet for the Blues.

Bengaluru set up virtual quarter-final

This commanding win put Bengaluru FC level with Punjab FC on six points, six goals scored, and none conceded. Their upcoming clash on November 5 at the PJN Stadium will now serve as a virtual quarter-final. If the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes, the result will be decided by penalties.
