Kerala Blasters FC displayed complete dominance as they defeated Sporting Club Delhi 3-0 in their second Group D match of the AIFF Super Cup 2025-26 at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim on November 3, 2025. All three goals came in the opening half, setting up an easy night for the Blasters.
Spanish striker Koldo Obieta scored twice in the 17th and 23rd minutes, while Korou Singh Thingujam added a spectacular third goal in the 34th minute. With this win, Kerala Blasters sit at the top of Group D with six points from two matches. Meanwhile, SC Delhi’s loss confirmed their exit from the competition.
Total Control from Start to Finish
Under head coach David Català, Kerala Blasters looked sharp, disciplined, and confident. They controlled possession, pressed high, and played with great intensity. From the very first whistle, their passing and movement unsettled SC Delhi’s defensive line.
Early on, Adrián Luna’s corner met Juan Rodríguez, whose header hit the post, signaling the team’s attacking intent. Noah Sadaoui’s energy and Nihal Sudheesh’s pace kept Delhi on the defensive throughout the first half.
Obieta Opens and Doubles the Lead
Kerala Blasters broke the deadlock in the 17th minute after a defensive error from SC Delhi. Ayush Adhikari’s misplaced back pass allowed Obieta to intercept and score with a firm right-footed strike. Though goalkeeper Vishal Yadav got a touch, he could not stop the shot.
Just six minutes later, Obieta struck again. A clever team move saw Korou Singh pass to Nihal Sudheesh, who played a perfect through ball to Obieta. The forward dribbled past defenders and calmly finished into the bottom corner, giving Blasters a 2-0 lead.
Korou Singh Adds a Stunning Third
The highlight of the match came in the 34th minute. Captain Adrián Luna produced a lovely scooped pass into the penalty area, which Korou Singh met with an acrobatic right-footed shot into the far corner. The strike reflected Kerala’s creativity and composure in attack.
By halftime, Blasters had completely outclassed their opponents, who failed to manage even one shot on target. SC Delhi’s defense looked fragile, and their midfield couldn’t handle Kerala’s quick passing.
Delhi Show Some Fight in Second Half
After the break, SC Delhi tried to regroup and played with more structure and determination. However, Kerala Blasters remained composed and continued to dominate possession. In the final minutes, Augustine Lalrochana came close to scoring for Delhi, but goalkeeper Nora Fernandes made a superb save to preserve the clean sheet.
Confident Steps Toward the Semifinals
With this convincing win, Kerala Blasters strengthened their chances of reaching the semifinals. Their attack looked sharp, the defense stayed solid, and their teamwork stood out throughout the game. It was another strong statement of intent from Català’s men.
