Historic Swearing-In at Gandhi Maidan
Kumar will take oath on Thursday at Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan. The ceremony will follow the dissolution of the current assembly on Wednesday, ensuring a seamless transition to the new government.
NDA Wins Big in Bihar Elections
The NDA secured a decisive victory, winning 202 out of 243 assembly seats. The BJP captured 89 seats, while JD(U), led by Kumar, won 85. The LJP(RV) gained 19 seats, HAM won five, and RLM secured four. This strong mandate reflects widespread voter confidence in Kumar and the NDA alliance.
Welfare Measures Strengthen Voter Support
In the run-up to the elections, Kumar’s government rolled out several welfare initiatives that helped boost public support. Social security pensions and stipends for Jeevika, ASHA, and Anganwadi workers were increased. Additionally, the government’s flagship scheme, Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, credited over one crore women with ₹10,000 each. These efforts reinforced Kumar’s image as a people-focused leader and contributed to the NDA’s sweeping win.
