Imran Khan’s son, Kasim Khan, issued a strong public appeal on Thursday. He claimed that the former Pakistani Prime Minister has spent the last six weeks in total isolation, without family visits, legal meetings or any confirmation of his well-being.
In a post on X, Kasim accused the Pakistani government of hiding Khan’s condition and ignoring court orders that allow his family to meet him.
“My father has been under arrest for 845 days. For the past six weeks, he has been kept in solitary confinement in a death cell with zero transparency,” he wrote.

Family Visits Allegedly Blocked Despite Court Orders
Kasim said officials have repeatedly stopped Khan’s sisters from meeting him, even though the court clearly permitted access. “His sisters have been denied every visit, even with clear court orders allowing access,” he added.
He said that all communication has been cut off. “There have been no phone calls, no meetings and no proof of life. Me and my brother have had no contact with our father,” he wrote, calling the situation the strictest phase of restrictions so far.
Kasim Accuses Authorities of “Deliberate Blackout”
Kasim argued that the lack of information is not a security measure but a political move.
“This absolute blackout is not a security protocol. It is a deliberate attempt to hide his condition and prevent our family from knowing whether he is safe,” he said.
He warned the authorities that they would be held responsible. “Let it be clear: the Pakistani government and its handlers will be held fully accountable legally, morally and internationally for my father’s safety and for every consequence of this inhumane isolation.”
He then appealed to global institutions, “I call on the international community, global human rights organisations and every democratic voice to intervene urgently. Demand proof of life, enforce court ordered access, end this inhumane isolation and call for the release of Pakistan’s most popular political leader who is being held solely for political reasons.”
Imran Khan’s Sister Also Raises Concern
In a separate post, Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khanum, echoed the concerns. “Imran Khan is in illegal isolation,” she wrote.
She said the family has no verified information about his health. “The only reason we believe him to be safe is because the authorities would not dare to hurt even a hair on Imran Khan’s head. They are well aware of the consequences of any such stupidity. He is the leader of at least 90 percent of Pakistan. They should definitely fear the wrath of the Pakistani nation,” she posted.

PTI Still Blocked From Meeting Imran Khan
Concerns over Khan’s condition have grown. PTI leaders told Reuters they have not been allowed to see him for more than three weeks.
Zulfikar Bukhari, the party spokesperson, said, “His health is our concern. We are worried about his illegal isolation,” adding that no one had seen Khan since November 4.
Imran Khan’s Legal Situation
Imran Khan has been in prison since August 2023. He is serving a 14-year sentence in a corruption case. He says the charges are political and designed to remove him from the national stage. The military denies this.
His arrest in 2023 sparked nationwide protests and a major crackdown on PTI. Even though jail rules allow weekly meetings, PTI members say authorities have repeatedly blocked their entry in recent months.
