Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday unveiled a 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Ram at the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math in Goa. The event took place during the ‘Sardha Panchashatamanotsava’, which celebrates the 550th year of the Math.

He also inaugurated the Ramayana Theme Park Garden developed on the premises. After that, he released a special postal stamp and a commemorative coin and addressed the people gathered there.
Morning Visit to Udupi and Mass Gita Recitation
Earlier in the day, PM Modi travelled to Udupi in Karnataka. He offered prayers at the Sri Krishna Matha. He then joined the Laksha Kantha Gita Parayana, a mass recitation of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. The event brought together around 100,000 participants, including students, monks, and scholars.
Unveiling of Suvarna Teertha Mantapa and Kanaka Kavacha
During the same visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Suvarna Teertha Mantapa. He also dedicated the Kanaka Kavacha for the Kanakana Kindi. This sacred window is believed to be the spot where saint Kanakadasa had darshan of Bhagwan Krishna.

Sri Krishna Matha, founded more than 800 years ago by Sri Madhvacharya, stands as a major institution of the Dvaita Vedanta tradition. It continues to be an important centre of spiritual learning and worship.
PM Modi Joins 550th-Year Celebrations in Goa
Later in the day, PM Modi reached Goa to participate in the 550th-year celebrations of the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math. This Math, established in the 13th century, is regarded as the first Gowd Saraswat Brahmin Vaishnava Math. It remains rooted in the Dvaita order.
