Trump Plans to Cancel Biden’s Orders, Calls Them ‘Invalid’ Over Autopen Use
Trump said most Biden-era executive orders are “invalid” because they were signed with an autopen instead of Biden’s direct approval.

US President Donald Trump said he will cancel most executive orders issued during Joe Biden’s presidency. He argued that Biden did not sign many of them himself. He claimed that “left lunatics circling around” Biden used an autopen to approve the documents.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that Biden had no role in signing them. He said “the radical left lunatics circling Biden around the beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office took the Presidency away from him” by using the autopen to copy his signature.

Trump Calls Autopen Orders “Invalid”

Trump said, “The Autopen is not allowed to be used if approval is not specifically given by the President of the United States.” He added that “approximately 92 per cent” of such orders are “invalid.”

He also warned, “Joe Biden was not involved in the Autopen process and, if he says he was, he will be brought up on charges of perjury.”

Trump Repeats Claims About Biden’s Capacity

Trump has repeatedly said that Biden was not mentally capable near the end of his presidency. He claimed that Biden’s advisers made major decisions without him. He provided no evidence.

Trump also questioned the validity of Biden’s pardons and other official actions. He argued that they may be invalid if they used an autopen. Several past presidents have used the device for important documents, but Trump continues to doubt its use under Biden.

Conservatives Praise Trump’s Move

Some Republicans welcomed Trump’s announcement. House oversight committee chair James Comer said, “I applaud President Trump for deeming President Biden’s autopen actions NULL AND VOID.”

The Oversight Project, a unit of the conservative Heritage Foundation, also supported Trump. It said, “Thank you President Trump for taking our historic Autopen investigation and findings seriously and ordering your Administration to take action.”

Earlier Report Raised Questions

In October, the oversight committee released a report on Biden’s use of the autopen. It made wide claims but gave no solid proof. It did not show that staff secretly carried out policies without Biden’s approval or that he was unaware of orders, laws, or pardons signed with his name.
