A technical problem linked to a third-party system caused major disruption at several airports on Tuesday. Because of this, check-in services went down and many flights, including those operated by Air India, were delayed.
However, Air India later clarified that the issue had been completely resolved. In a post on X, the airline said, “The third-party system has been fully restored, and check-in at all airports is functioning normally. All our flights are operating as per schedule. We thank our passengers for their understanding.”

The third-party system has been fully restored, and check-in at all airports is functioning normally. All our flights are operating as per schedule.
We thank our passengers for their understanding.
Airlines Faced Delays During the Outage
Earlier, the airline had warned passengers that multiple carriers were affected due to the system failure. It shared that airport staff were working hard to manage the situation.
“Our airport teams are working diligently to ensure a smooth check-in experience for all passengers,” Air India had posted as the problem continued. At that time, the restoration process was happening in stages. The airline also mentioned that some delays might still occur “until the situation fully normalises.”
To reduce inconvenience, passengers were advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport. They were also asked to arrive earlier than usual for their journeys.
