First Leader to Reach 100 Million

Far Ahead of Global Peers
The gap between Modi and other world leaders is wide. US President Donald Trump ranks second with 43.2 million followers. Modi has more than double that number.
Other leaders trail further behind. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has 15 million followers. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has 14.4 million. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has 11.6 million, while Argentine President Javier Milei has 6.4 million followers.
Even when combined, the follower counts of several major global leaders do not match Modi’s individual total.
Strong Lead in India
Modi also leads by a large margin within India. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stands second with 16.1 million followers. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi follows with around 12.6 million.
The numbers highlight Modi’s strong digital influence both at home and abroad.
Milestone During Israel Visit
The social media achievement coincides with Modi’s state visit to Israel. During the trip, he addressed the Knesset. Lawmakers gave him a standing ovation after his speech.
Following the address, he received the “Speaker of the Knesset Medal,” the highest honour awarded by Israel’s Parliament. Officials said the award recognises his leadership in strengthening India–Israel relations and deepening strategic cooperation between the two countries.
After the ceremony, several members of the Knesset gathered around him for photographs and selfies, reflecting the warm reception during his visit.
