India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed concern over the US-Israel strikes on Iran and the rising tensions in the Gulf. It urged all parties to stay calm, avoid escalation, and protect civilians.
Calls for Dialogue and Diplomacy
The MEA stressed the need for dialogue. “Diplomacy should be pursued to reduce tensions and solve underlying issues. All states’ sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected,” the statement said.

Advisories for Indian Nationals
The MEA assured Indian citizens in the region that missions are monitoring the situation. “Our Missions are in touch with Indian nationals. We advise them to stay alert, follow local security guidance, and remain in contact with the Missions,” the statement added.
