While Iran pressed ahead with its operations, Israeli and American forces carried out coordinated airstrikes on Iranian territory. Reports said these joint attacks caused significant damage and loss of life.
Qatar Intercepts Iranian Jets and Missiles
In the middle of the escalating conflict, Qatar confirmed that its air force took action against incoming threats. Officials said the force “successfully intercepted” two Iranian SU-24 fighter jets. In addition, they shot down seven ballistic missiles and five drones.
Qatar’s swift response prevented further damage within its airspace, according to authorities.
Heavy Casualties Reported Inside Iran
Inside Iran, reports claimed that joint US-Israeli airstrikes killed at least 555 people. These strikes targeted various sites as part of the broader military campaign.
However, Iranian security chief Ali Larijani rejected US media reports that he had begun new efforts to restart nuclear negotiations with Washington. He denied initiating any fresh diplomatic outreach.
US Warplanes Crash in Kuwait
In another development, Kuwait’s Defence Ministry reported that several US military aircraft crashed within its territory. Officials said all crew members survived the incidents.
Later, the US military clarified the situation. It stated that Kuwaiti air defence systems had accidentally shot down the American warplanes.
Israeli Strikes Kill Dozens in Lebanon
The conflict also spread to Lebanon. Israeli forces launched airstrikes after Hezbollah fired rockets into northern Israel.
According to reports, at least 31 people were killed in Lebanon due to these strikes.
As tensions escalated, the Lebanese prime minister responded by announcing a ban on Hezbollah’s military operations. The move aimed to control the growing violence and prevent further attacks.
