US President Donald Trump firmly defended his decision to act against Iran. He argued that the United States stepped in at the right time and prevented a global crisis.
While speaking at The Villages Charter School in Florida, he clearly stated that Iran’s nuclear ambitions threatened not just the region but the entire world.
As a result, he warned that without US action, Europe and the Middle East “would have been blown to pieces".
US Stops Iran’s Nuclear Progress
Trump stressed that the United States directly stopped Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
“Because we have to take a little journey down to a beautiful country known as Iran, and we have to make sure that they don’t have a nuclear weapon," he said.
He then added, “We stopped them with the B2 bombers. If we didn’t do that, they would’ve had a nuclear weapon. Israel, the Middle East, and Europe would have been blown to pieces,"
Thus, he made it clear that US military action played a decisive role.
He Warns of Global Destruction
Furthermore, Trump warned that Iran’s nuclear capability would have led to widespread destruction across regions.
“You cannot give Iran a nuclear weapon — because they would use it on a place called Israel very quickly, and they would use it in the Middle East, and they would use it in Europe, and we’d be next. And it’s not going to happen,” he said.
Therefore, he insisted that the US prevented a chain reaction of conflict.
Trump Attacks Iran’s Leadership
At the same time, Trump sharply criticised Iran’s leadership. He accused them of brutality and poor governance. “Iran’s leaders were evil people. They killed 42,000 protestors in a period of two weeks. We had to get this done," he said.
He Claims Iran’s Military Is Crippled
In addition, Trump claimed that Iran’s military strength has significantly weakened.
“Iran is getting decimated. They have no navy. They have no air force. They have no anti-aircraft equipment. They have no radar. They have no leaders; their leaders are all gone,” he said.
Trump Highlights Leadership Vacuum
Moreover, Trump pointed to what he described as a leadership crisis in Iran.
“We don’t even know who we’re dealing with. We call, and someone says, ‘This is Mohammad so-and-so speaking,’ and I ask, ‘Are you the leader!?’ We’re looking for a leader!’," he said.
He further claimed that no one wants to take charge.
“This is the only country in the world like this. No one wants to be the leader. People ask, ‘Would anyone like to be the president?!’ and no one is ready!" he added.
